God Didn't Blink (2026)

God Didn't Blink was inspired by my family's story during the 1980 Mariel Boatlift and explores memory, exile, faith, and survival through found objects, glass, shells, and natural materials gathered from the sea.
Hidden among more than one hundred sculpted figures are members of my own family. They are not identified.. you would have to know them; just as you would the many stories that remain hidden within the surviving memory of the Cuban exile community.
This is a one-of-one original artwork, handmade in Miami in 2026.
